DBSAA on the day of Biodiversity

DBSAA takes part at the International Day of BIODIVERSITY

The students of the German Embassy School Addis Ababa and all kids of the kindergarten met
together to plant six trees from three species at our campus: Hagenia abyssinica, Cordia africana
and Prunus africana.

Biodiversity

This trees are indigenous for the highlands of Ethiopia and of medical interest.

Biodiversity
Hagenia abyssinica is a typical tree for the afro-alpine vegetation in the highlands of Ethiopia. The
headmaster of the school discussed with the students the importance of planting trees. After this, the
children digged with enthusiasm the holes and fixed signs with the names of the trees.
