02/14/1978 Move of the school to the premises of the German Embassy with approval of the German Ministry of foreign affairs and of the Ethiopian Ministry of foreign affairs. Ethiopians are not allowed anymore to attend the classes at the German School
05/03/1978 New name for the school: "Deutsche Botschaftsschule"/"German Embassy School".
1979 Reccomendation by the Auswärtigen Amt to give up sixth forms
1986 Offer by the Ethiopian government to hand over a new site.
1989 Contract for the Grundstückübereignungsvertrag und Abkommen über kulturelle Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Auswärtigen Amt und der äthiopischen Regierung.
