Frequently asked questions

To register your child, please submit a completed application form to the school office along with passport copies for both parents and the child. You can request an application form from the office, or download it from the "Downloads" section of the school website.Please ensure student files are complete before the start of school. Contact the office if you have any questions about required documents.

The school fee is invoiced semi-annually for self payers and annually for full-payers. Parents/Guardians will receive the invoice by email. The fee schedule is available on request from the secretary's office.

Extracurricular activities for the upcoming academic year are announced at the start of each year. The registration takes place online.

The school library is open Monday to Friday mornings. It offers a generous range of German and English literature for young and old as well as radio plays, DVDs and games.

The cafeteria is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 A.M to 4:00 P.M. We have introduced a cashless system at DBSAA, which is based on "Amole", the electronic payment platform of Dashen Bank. Three menus are offered daily (Ethiopian, International and Vegetarian). Primary school children have the opportunity to pre-order meals for 2 weeks.

The first day of school at the start of the school year starts with an assembly in the gym. You will receive more information about this in a patent letter in good time. Children who come to DBSAA during the school year go to the office with their parents at 7:30AM on the first day of the school and are then accompanied to class.

You can find abandoned sports bag, school pencil cases or similar items in our "Lost and Found" cupboard next to the cafeteria. Please contact the Secretary's office. Valuables such as jewelry, wallets, etc. are kept in the secretary's office.

A nurse is available on campus every weekday from 7:30AM to 5:00PM to attend to students medical needs. Parents will be contacted to pickup children who are unwell. Please provide emergency contact details in your child's file and update the school fi there are any changes. Parents must inform the gate security team of their designated driver's name and vehicle information when picking up students.
